๐Ÿš— In-Car Gaming: The Future of Entertainment Hits the Road

Berlin, June 30, 2025 โ€“ What once sounded like science fiction is now a reality: cars are becoming gaming consoles on wheels.

With platforms like AirConsole integrated into vehicles from Audi, BMW, and Volkswagen, passengers can now play games like UNO, Pictionary, and Pac-Man directly on the dashboard, using their smartphones as controllers.

According to a recent study by the German Games Industry Association, 1 in 5 Germans is already familiar with in-car gaming, and 12% of 25โ€“34-year-olds have tried it themselves. The games are designed for safety: they only run on central displays when the car is parked, while passenger side screens can remain active during drives.

This trend is more than a gimmick. It reflects a broader shift toward software-defined vehicles, where entertainment, connectivity, and personalization are just as important as horsepower. With 5G connectivity and high-res displays, the car is evolving into a digital playground.
