It’s official: Call of Duty 2025 is none other than Black Ops 7 – and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most ambitious CoD entries yet!
What do we know so far?
- Confirmed at Xbox Games Showcase – Treyarch & Raven Software are back, teaming up to deliver a new chapter in the Black Ops saga.
- Set in 2035 – The story continues after Black Ops 2 & 6, throwing us into a chaotic world torn apart by psychological warfare. David Mason is back in the spotlight!
- Co-op campaign – Yes, you can play through the campaign with a friend.
- Multiplayer madness – Expect a mix of classic remastered maps and brand-new battlegrounds.
- Dark Aether Zombies returns – The beloved mode is coming back with new storylines and terrifying challenges.
When can we expect it?
Insiders suggest a November 14, 2025 release (not officially confirmed), with a full reveal planned for August 19 at Gamescom Opening Night Live.
Why are we hyped?
This marks the first-ever back-to-back release in the Black Ops series – BO6 in 2024, followed by BO7 in 2025. If Treyarch pulls this off, we’re looking at a massive evolution for the franchise.
